Learn how to create and use custom time types in VeriClock by mapping overtime rules to separate hours based on time of day, date, day of week, or hours worked. This guide explains how to enable overtime, create new time types through overtime rules, and link those time types to payroll items to ensure accurate pay classification and reporting.
By default all time in VeriClock is mapped to a time type called 'Regular' time.
Overtime rules can be used to map to a different time type, to seperate time based on the specific time of day, date, day of the week or number of hours worked.
To create a new time type in VeriClock, you must first have overtime rules enabled in your account. See: Setting Up Overtime Rules for more information on setting up and using Overtime.
Once Overtime is enabled, a new overtime rule can be created to map to a new time type:
After creating a new time type, select the time type from the drop down box and save your rule.
The final step is to map out that new time type using a payroll item rule.
