VeriClock Kiosk PIN and photo verification features add an extra layer of security to employee clock in and clock out on shared kiosk devices. Administrators can require employees to enter a unique 4–6 digit PIN before clocking in or out, preventing unauthorized access and buddy punching. PINs are managed by admins from the employee profile and can be reset or applied in bulk. For added identity verification, VeriClock can also require employees to take a photo at clock in and/or clock out, ensuring the correct employee is recording time. All kiosk photos are securely stored and viewable from the Time Activity page, helping businesses maintain accurate, compliant time tracking.
Kiosk PIN
In order to limit an employee's access to clocking in and out using the VeriClock kiosk, you can require that the employee enter a PIN before they clock in or out.
To configure this setting for an employee, navigate to the Employee page and edit the Employee you wish to add a PIN for. Then click on the Advanced tab.
Next, ensure that the dropdown menu under IVR/SMS/Kiosk PIN Setting is changed to "Required" and then enter a 4 - 6 digit PIN the field below.
Note: it is not currently possible for an employee to set (or reset) their PIN. Use these steps to reset the PIN for an employee if they forget their PIN.

Kiosk Photos at Clock In and Out
Another way to help prevent employees from 'buddy punching' or clocking in and out from the wrong account is to require an employee take a picture of themselves at clock in and/or out. To enable this setting, navigate to Settings --> Time --> Settings. There are two checkboxes and can be enabled or disabled depending on your preference.
If enabled, an employee will be presented a screen and asked to take a picture of themself before they are able to clock in or out. On the screen, they will have the option to retake the picture if needed. All employee photos are saved to your account and viewable through the Time Activity page.
