Improve compliance and cut-down on billing disputes by allowing third parties to review and electronically sign employee timesheets. To request a third-party signature, navigate to Time > Third Party Approval in the web browser or app, select the relevant time period and jobs, and click "Request Approvals." Once sent, third-party approvers can sign using the employee's device if enabled, or via email/SMS. Administrators can easily resend requests if necessary. Completed, pending, or canceled approval statuses can be filtered and reviewed from the Third Party Approval page.
If your company requires a third party to sign off on your hours, perform the following:
- After time events have been created, go to Time > Third Party Approval via the web browser or the App
.
- Select a time period (i.e. current week, today, yesterday, custom time period)
- Select the applicable job(s)
- Click on the blue Request Approvals button.
- Click Cancel or click Yes to send out the signature request. If you click Yes, an email and/or sms will automatically be sent to the third party approver associated with each job
If your admin has enabled the ability for the third party to sign off using the employees device, then the approver will be able to sign on your device/computer and type their name before approving. Simply click on 'Third Party Sign' in the drop down and present your device to the approver.
- If the approver did not get the email or SMS/text with the signature request, you can resend it from here as well
To view completed signature requests, navigate down to the bottom of your Third Party Approval page.
- Select a date range.
- Select an employee, or ignore to search all
- Select a job, or ignore to search all
- Filter by status: Pending, Canceled or Completed
- Click Search.
