Q: I have done a dry run and some of the time events are shown in pink. I tried to synchronize the hours without error messages, why can’t I find those time events in my QuickBooks?
A: To successfully synchronize the time events, you need to ensure all events are ready to sync, which means you need to either resolve all errors or filter out the erroneous time events. Otherwise, none of the events will be imported into your QuickBooks.
Q: I have made some changes to a job in QuickBooks, will those changes be applied to the bound job in VeriClock?
A: Any changes you make in QuickBooks after binding jobs will not be reflected on the corresponding VeriClock jobs. You’ll need to make those changes in VeriClock manually.
Q: I have opened a new company account with QuickBooks Online, how do I change my integration?
A: To change your company, simply log into your new company account, then go to your Vericlock page, click on QuickBooks->Menu->Disconnect from QuickBooks, then click on ‘Connect from QuickBooks’ again as shown in the guide.
Q: I have set all events as billable, why am I getting the error ‘Employee must have a valid hourly rate set for billable events’?
A: To solve this problem, go to the affected employee’s profile to enter the billing rate as the payroll rate. You can do so by going to Employees->Active, finding the affected employee, and clicking on ‘Edit’. Then navigate to the tab that says ‘Payroll Info’ and input the billing rate under each payroll item. After that, click Save and try another dry run.
Q: How can I find the hours for each project in QuickBooks Online after the synchronization?
A: Navigate to Projects in QuickBooks Online, select the project that your employees clock under, then select ‘Time Activity’ and you should see the hours imported from Vericlock.
Q: How can I find the hours for each employee in QuickBooks Online after the synchronization?
A: To view synced time in QuickBooks Online, please go to Reports, then Standard Reports, and under the Employees section, select “Time Activities by Employee Detail.” From there, choose your desired date range and click Run/Search.
This report will show you the timesheets that have been synced, so you can review and confirm everything looks correct. Once confirmed, you can proceed with your payroll as usual.
Q: I have a new administrator trying to work on the integration. I have already connected with QuickBooks Online, why is Vericlock still requiring that administrator to connect again?
A: If you see the page shows the below message:
Then it means the administrator hasn’t connected Vericlock to QuickBooks Online yet, the administrator would simply need to sign in to QuickBooks Online, click on ‘Connect to QuickBooks’ to confirm the connection similar to connecting QuickBooks Online with Vericlock for the first time. All your current bindings and information will stay the same.
Additionally, when you see the below screenshot asking you to grant access for the new admin, simply click ‘Change Admin’ to confirm:
Q: I am trying to bind my QuickBooks job with an existing VeriClock job, why can’t I select its corresponding VeriClock job and only show ‘Create’?
A: Click ‘Manage Bindings’ and see if the VeriClock job is already linked to another QuickBooks job, if so, click ‘unbind’ and try to bind it again.
Q: The dry run results are shown in red, how do I resolve the error and synchronize the timesheet?
A: Click on the red rows and see what the error message says under ‘Notes’
| Error Code | Solution |
| Employee is not synchronized with QuickBooks Online | The employee in VeriClock has not been bound to any employee in QuickBooks Online. You can create bindings from the Employees tab in the integration tool. |
| Service item (Your service item name) is not synchronized with QuickBooks Online | The service item in VeriClock has not been bound to any service item in QuickBooks Online. You can create bindings from the Service Items tab in the integration tool. |
| This event is time guarded and must be addressed | Time guarded events require Administrators to review them before the data can be available in reports or time syncing. To resolve this, you must edit the clock event and fix the clock out time to the correct value. Once you are done, click Save and the event can now be used in time syncing. |
