Learn how the VeriClock Notifications Roster helps admins view which employees are logged into the mobile app and whether their devices can receive in-app notifications. This guide explains how to access the roster, interpret device and app version details, enable notifications, and resolve common issues such as missing token errors that prevent alerts from being delivered.
The Notifications Roster displays each user who is logged into the VeriClock app. It allows admins to view additional information about an individual's device being used for app clock in or out. This can be useful in assisting an employee to log into the app for the first time, or in troubleshooting why an employee is not getting in-app notifications.
Roster
You can view all employees who have successfully logged in through the VeriClock app to your account, from the Notification icon (envelope) → click Roster on the right hand side of your screen.
The Roster gives details on what phone model each user has, the app version installed, and whether or not they have notifications enabled for the app. Any users not listed in the Roster have not successfully logged into the app, or they are using an older app version and need to update from their phone play store.
The red lock icon means the user has not yet enabled notifications in their phone for the VeriClock app. This can be done from the phone settings → notifications → enable notifications for VeriClock. Once notifications are enabled, the notification tab in the app menu will display any messages an admin sends or any alerts sent in-app. Notifications can also be enabled for the VeriClock app on the phone lock screen. (phone settings → lock screen→ notifications on lock screen → enable for VeriClock.)
A green check mark means this user has set up their phone to be able to receive notifications for the VeriClock app.
A Missing Token error occurs when the user was logged out of the corresponding device, requiring the user to authenticate their login. To resolve this issue the employee must log back into their app to continue. The missing token error will display on the roster every time an authentication error has triggered for a particular user, along with the device the error occurred on and the date the error occurred.
