Learn how to configure individual employee permissions in VeriClock to control access to clock in and out events, time editing, job and service item details, and app or web features. This guide explains where to set employee permissions, how permissions affect visible tabs, and how to enable per-employee options such as offline clocking and GPS settings.
Employee permissions are given on an individual basis in each employee profile. Employees can be given the ability to view all clock in/out time events, edit/create clock in/out events, or view job or service item details.
To add a new employee, see Adding Employees.
- If an employee (using the app) is unable to view the events tab, the job/service items info tab or edit an event in the events tab, then the employee has not been given permission in their employee profile.
- If an employee (using a web browser) does not have the tabs My Activity, Add Time or My Time Card tabs, then the employee has not been given permission in their employee profile.
- To set employee permissions, go to the Employees tab → click on the blue Edit button to the right of the employee name.
- Click on the Advanced tab along the top of the employee profile.
- Set permissions as needed and scroll down to the bottom of the page to click the blue Ok button.
Additional settings are available per employee when set to Use Employee Settings. Offline clock, clock report notes, and GPS settings are all options that can be enabled on a per-employee basis.
